Fans worried for Cher, 77, after singer seemingly unable

It seems no one is safe these days from negative comments on the internet, especially female celebrities.

Cher experienced this recently when she became the target of fans and online trolls who couldn’t help but write nasty and unhelpful things about her age.

The iconic singer, 77, recently made a public appearance following her participation in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and fans expressed concern about her walking.

Cher graced the stage during the parade, performing ‘DJ Play a Christmas Song,’ her hit that debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart in October 2023.

In a recent interview with Billboard, she said that her festive songs, something that Mariah Carey has also become well-known for, are not strictly “Christmas Christmas” songs but rather “just great songs.”

After her performance, Cher was seen leaving the hotel where she stayed for the event.

Entertainment photographer Elder Ordonez shared a clip on Instagram, capturing the ‘Believe’ hitmaker in an all-black outfit with matching boots, assisted by a bodyguard on her way to a waiting car.

“Cher is seen leaving her Hotel just hours after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City this afternoon,” Ordonez captioned the pic.

Instagram users commented on the post, with some expressing concern about Cher appearing as if she had difficulty walking.

“Wow, she can’t move, maybe it’s the boots…,” one person commented.

Someone else added: “How old is she now? She can’t even walk.”

Though, many fans defended the singer, with another user saying:

“She’s 77 years old!!! Let’s see how great you will be walking at her age, if at all.”

Cher has previously addressed aging on social media, writing on X (formerly Twitter) that she was wondering when she would start to feel her age. “Ok,Will Someone  PLEASE Tell me…..When Will I Feel OLD This is ridiculous I keep hearing these numbers, but I Honestly can’t understand them ,” part of her tweet read.

Then, in September, Cher took part in an interview with Good Morning Britain, where she said that it hadn’t hit her yet that old age was creeping up on her. “I just can’t believe that I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish,” she said.

Though, despite aging, she hilariously said that she intended to continue wearing jeans and maintaining her enviable long hair. When asked about her secret to looking youthful, Cher simply said she just had good genetics in her family.

Well, I don’t know about you but I certainly hope I’m in great a shape as Cher is by the time I’m her age!
