Rep. Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California and former Speaker of the House, said why she got into politics, and she was immediately made fun of.
Some people think Pelosi made a lot of money through shady stock trades using secret information she got from being elected, but she said it wasn’t the power, fame, or huge amounts of cash she has earned in the House of Representatives.
Some people think that her decision to stay in politics is because she hates President Trump and wants to be a pain for him.
But when she talked to Jen Psaki, the former White House press secretary, on MSNBC last week, she didn’t say any of those things about why she got into politics.
The Democrat representative gave a well-known political phrase as her reason. She has used it many times in different situations and for many pieces of legislation
.
“My whole mission in politics is about the children,” she said, prompting immediate backlash on X.
“Her bank account would beg to differ,” one X user who shared the video said.
“She’s starting to sound more like Joe the more she talks,” another X user said.
