Supreme Court To Hear Trump’s ‘Birthright Citizenship’ Case

The U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments on Thursday regarding President Donald Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship after three lower federal courts have issued nationwide injunctions against the order’s implementation.

Since Trump’s return to the White House, the court has taken interim actions on several emergency appeals filed by the administration following judges’ preliminary orders blocking some of its policies. However, Thursday’s session marks the first time the justices will hear oral arguments regarding an element of Trump’s second-term agenda.
