Police Tase, Drag Out Far-Left Protesters at MTG Event

During a Tax Day town hall near her Rome, Georgia, home on Tuesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed left-wing protesters who clashed with police, while praising officers for maintaining peace.

The town hall took place at the Acworth Community Center with a strong law enforcement presence, including the Acworth Police Department, Cobb County Police, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, Kennesaw Police, and Georgia State Patrol. Crime analysts identified online posts hinting at possible disruptions, prompting officials to make advance security preparations.

Security was tight throughout the event. Only pre-registered residents of Rep. Greene’s district were permitted entry, with IDs checked against a sign-up list. The location was kept confidential until registration was verified. Despite the strict measures, Greene emphasized that she welcomed constituents of all political backgrounds.
