Keith Urban, the famous country mega-star, has been actively involved in raising awareness about prostate cancer. Despite his busy schedule, Urban took the time to attend the “It’s A Bloke Thing” luncheon in Toowoomba, Australia, which supports and raises funds for prostate cancer research.

Prostate cancer is a cause close to Urban’s heart. He lost his father, Robert, to the disease in December 2015, and several of his uncles and grandfather have also been affected. This personal connection motivates Urban to actively contribute to the cause and raise awareness.

The “It’s A Bloke Thing” Foundation has been organizing the luncheon for the past seven years and it has become one of the most significant daytime fundraising initiatives in Australia. In 2017, the community donated over $1.53 million to the foundation. This year, Urban’s participation contributed to a record-breaking amount of $2,024,000.00 raised from the event.
