Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan: A Love Story That Defies Life’s Toughest Challenges

The pair are celebrating their 36th anniversary.

In IG post shared on Tuesday, July 16, the legendary actor now, 63, commemorated his 36th anniversary to Pollan. Alongside a photo of the two of them sitting by a pool when they were younger, he wrote a sweet message to his longtime partner.

“Here’s to a lifetime of love with the love of a lifetime,” the caption read. “Happy anniversary, T. Forever”

36 years ago, Tracy Pollan stood by Michael J. Fox as they exchanged vows, committing to stand by each other through the best and worst of times, in sickness and in health. Little did they know that just a few years into their marriage, this promise would be put to the ultimate test.

In the prime of his youth, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a reality that would challenge the couple’s resilience. Yet, Pollan’s unwavering support has been a constant, with Fox recently opening up about the depth of their connection and the integral role his wife has played in his journey.

Through the public lens, Michael J. Fox transformed from the ambitious Alex P. Keaton and the adventurous Marty McFly into an advocate and a fighter against Parkinson’s. The pivot came in the wake of his diagnosis, which threatened to clip his wings at a time when his career was taking flight.

In a heartwarming revelation, Fox has expressed immense gratitude for his wife’s support, noting that even at the moment of his diagnosis, Pollan did not flinch but stood firmly by his side. Her strength and steadfastness have been a beacon for Fox, who has faced his condition with remarkable courage and humor.

The family’s strength is evident in their children, who have inherited their parents’ resilience and compassion. Fox beams with pride when speaking of his offspring, acknowledging how their upbringing has imbued them with the virtues of empathy and understanding.

Michael J. Fox’s wit remains as sharp as ever, and his legacy is being cemented through the work of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Under his leadership, the foundation has raised substantial funds toward finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease, while Fox himself continues to inspire through his personal battles and achievements.
