The nursing student’s classmates at the Kentucky school are heartbroken by the news of her death.

What did Kate Kaufling do?
Kate Kaufling was born in 2003 and went to college.

WKYT, a CBS affiliate, says Kate was a sophomore and a nursing student.

Aside from school, she was known for being in the school dance team and the Tri Delta sorority chain.

Abbey, her twin sister, was on the dance team too.

What caused Kate Kaufling’s death?
Kate Kaufling passed away on March 31, 2024, after a long battle with osteosarcoma. She was 20 years old.

According to more information from WKYT, Kate was told she had bone cancer on June 2, 2023.
