Last week, King Charles III underwent surgery at The London Clinic for his benign prostate enlargement. Unfortunately, the medical team discovered a more serious health issue during his stay – cancer.
Although the specific details of the type and stage of cancer, as well as the treatment plan, were not disclosed in the Buckingham Palace statement, it was stated that the King has already started receiving regular treatments. While focusing on his treatments, he will limit his public-facing duties but will continue to handle state affairs and official paperwork.
Despite the diagnosis, King Charles III remains positive and looks forward to returning to his full public duties as soon as possible. He bravely shared the news with his siblings and children, receiving unwavering support from his son, Prince Harry, who plans to visit him in the coming days.
While the King takes a step back from public duties, his wife, Queen Camilla, will continue her usual engagements and responsibilities with unwavering commitment to serving the monarchy and the people.
