For the first time, Priscilla Presley talks up about the heartbreaking death of her daughter Lisa Marie.

According to a family representative, Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s only child, died on Thursday. She was born in 1954.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must convey the heartbreaking news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement by the Associated Press. “She was the zealous, strongest, and loving woman I’d ever known.”
The Presley family is “shocked and devastated by the unexpected demise of their beloved Lisa Marie,” according to Priscilla Presley’s spokesperson Sam Mast in a statement to ABC News.

Mast said they appreciate everyone’s love, support, and prayers and need privacy during this difficult time.

Earlier Thursday, Priscilla Presley announced on social media that her daughter had been transported to the hospital.

“My dear daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital,” Priscilla Presley announced before her daughter’s death was made public. “She is currently receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. We request restraint because we are aware of prayers worldwide.”

Lisa Marie Presley applauded Austin Butler’s performance as Elvis Presley in the Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic “Elvis” as the best actor in a drama film at the 80th Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, California. She attended the event with her mum.

The singer-songwriter is the only child of Priscilla Presley, an entrepreneur and actress, and Elvis Presley, a singer-actor. She got her father’s estate when she reached 25 in 1993.
Lisa Marie Presley has been married four times, most recently to actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004 and music icon Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996.

In 1988, she married musician Danny Keough; they had a daughter named Riley and a son named Benjamin, who died. Benjamin committed suicide in July 2020 at the age of 27.

Lisa Marie Presley shared an update on her post-death son’s survival during the hype surrounding Baz Luhrmann’s film last year.

“I am and will always be mourning the loss of my child,” she wrote.

“Navigating through this terrible suffering has consumed me, completely wrecked me, and broken my heart and soul to virtually nothing.”

Riley Keough is an actress who will be seen in the upcoming film “Zola.” She made her directorial debut with the 2022 film “War Pony,” which won the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2006, Lisa Marie Presley married Michael Lockwood. Their marriage was her longest, ending in divorce in July 2021. Harper and Finley, the former couple’s twin daughters, are one of their two children.

She followed in her father’s footsteps over time, releasing the album “To Whom It May Concern” in 2003, which included the song “Savior,” which she co-wrote with Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. She also released two more albums, “What Now” in 2005 and “Storm & Grace” in 2012.
