On a seemingly ordinary Tuesday, the City of San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) took to social media to share the heartwarming tale of Rocco’s miraculous recovery, a tale that serves as a testament to the power of compassion and care.
Rocco’s journey began in October when ACS received a distressing 3-1-1 call regarding two severely malnourished dogs in desperate need of assistance. Upon arrival, ACS rescuers were met with a heartbreaking sight: Rocco and his companion were mere shadows of their former selves, their frail bodies betraying the extent of their suffering. Rocco, in particular, was so weak that he could barely muster a bark without collapsing.
